SEO & GEO TOOL WORKSPACE

Audit one page, understand the site, keep measuring

Use the URL audit for evidence on one page, the bounded crawl for connected pages, and provider-backed tools only when their data source is configured.

Bounded site crawl

Run a bounded same-site inventory with explicit page limits and exclusions. A crawl is not an unbounded complete inventory.

Keywords and competitors

External measurements remain separate from observed page content.

Rankings and history

External measurements remain separate from observed page content.

Backlinks and referring domains

Reports and delivery

On-page findings never wait for report generation. Current report state: NOT_STARTED.

AUDIT BEFORE INVESTMENT

Find out what is actually limiting the website before deciding what to buy

A website can look polished and still be difficult to index, slow on mobile, thin on evidence, disconnected from important pages or unclear to AI-assisted search. Those are different problems. They should not automatically lead to the same recommendation.

The purpose of the audit is diagnosis.

Trophy Web Optimizer separates technical evidence, search signals, content, performance, links, measurement and GEO / AI-readiness so the next decision is based on the problem found rather than the service somebody wants to sell.

WHAT THE AUDIT INSPECTS

Eight diagnostic areas, each answering a different business question

The audit is organized around evidence a decision-maker can understand and a technical team can trace. It does not compress every issue into one unexplained health number.

01

Search representation

Can search engines identify the right page and describe it accurately?

Inspect the title, meta description, canonical URL, robots directives and language signals that frame how a page can be indexed and represented.

02

Page structure

Does the document structure make the main subject obvious?

Review H1–H6 usage, heading order and the actual heading text so structural problems can be traced to the page instead of hidden behind one pass/fail badge.

03

Content evidence

Does the page contain enough useful material for its purpose?

Measure meaningful words, repeated terms and recurring phrases as editorial evidence. The audit treats these as review signals, not as a keyword-density formula.

04

Links and authority

Are important destinations connected, and is backlink evidence actually available?

Separate internal links, outbound links, anchor text and incoming backlink data. Missing backlink-provider data is reported as unavailable, never as zero.

05

Media and accessibility

Can images be understood without relying on the image itself?

Identify image sources with present, missing or intentionally empty alternative text so accessibility work can target the affected element.

06

Measurement readiness

Can the business tell what generated a visit, enquiry or sale?

Detect supported analytics and campaign tags such as GA4, GTM, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity and other implemented measurement tools.

07

Performance evidence

Is the page slow in a lab test, for real users, or both?

Keep PageSpeed mobile, PageSpeed desktop and eligible CrUX field data separate so one number does not disguise the source of a performance problem.

08

GEO / AI interpretation

Can AI-assisted search connect the business, service, facts and entities correctly?

Review structured data, entity clarity, factual organization, crawlable explanations and internal relationships that help machines interpret what the business actually does.

SEO + GEO

Search visibility and AI visibility overlap, but they are not the same problem

Traditional search and generative systems both need accessible, well-structured information. GEO adds a stronger emphasis on entity clarity, factual relationships and content that can be interpreted without guessing what the business means.

SEO audit

Can the page be crawled, indexed, understood and presented competitively in search?
  • Metadata, canonical and robots signals
  • Heading and document structure
  • Internal links and crawl paths
  • PageSpeed and field-performance evidence
  • Content depth and topical emphasis
  • Structured data and technical findings

GEO audit

Can generative and AI-assisted systems interpret the business with enough factual clarity to use it confidently?
  • Entity and organization clarity
  • Explicit service and expertise relationships
  • Machine-readable business information
  • Fact-rich explanatory content
  • Consistent internal relationships between important pages
  • Signals that reduce ambiguity around people, services, locations and claims
What the tool does not claim:

It does not claim that a technically correct page will automatically rank, appear in an AI answer or earn a citation. It identifies observable website signals that make discovery and interpretation easier to evaluate.

TRANSPARENT SCORING

A website score is only useful when you know how much evidence produced it

A common audit failure is to begin at 100 and subtract only the problems a scanner managed to detect. That can make a broken provider look like a healthy website. Trophy Web Optimizer uses an evidence-earned model instead.

Verified score

How the completed score-bearing checks performed. Evidence must exist before a check can earn points.

Audit coverage

How much of the intended audit could actually be verified across the page and configured providers.

Completeness

Whether the result is complete, partial or incomplete. A strong score with weak coverage is not presented as perfect website health.

Evidence producedCheck can earn pointsCoverage shows what was verified

If CrUX has insufficient field data, the result is UNAVAILABLE. If a backlink provider has not been connected, the result is NOT_CONFIGURED. If rendering fails badly enough that the page cannot be assessed reliably, the audit can withhold the grade. Missing evidence never becomes a free pass.

PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE

Separate simulated speed from the experience real visitors have already recorded

Performance is easier to act on when the evidence type is explicit. Mobile lab tests, desktop lab tests and public field data answer different questions and should remain separate.

Mobile PageSpeed

A controlled lab test that helps identify mobile rendering, loading and main-thread problems under simulated conditions.

Desktop PageSpeed

A separate lab view for larger screens. It is not averaged into the mobile result because the two environments can fail for different reasons.

CrUX field data

Eligible real-user performance evidence collected by Google. Some websites do not have enough public field data, which is reported as unavailable rather than failed.

CONTENT EVIDENCE

Inspect whether the page explains enough, without turning word count into a ranking myth

Web Optimizer counts meaningful visible words, repeated terms and recurring phrases to expose topical emphasis and possible gaps. These measurements are evidence for review, not a universal recipe for rankings.

For suitable business and service pages, Trophy can flag content below a configurable 900-word review threshold. The flag means “inspect whether this page answers its intended search and business questions.” It does not mean Google requires 900 words. A checkout, contact page, login screen and detailed service page have different jobs.

What to inspect in the result

Meaningful words
How much readable page content was extracted.
Repeated terms
Which terms dominate the page and how often they recur.
Observed phrases
Repeated 2–5 word phrases found in the page itself.
Depth status
Whether the page deserves editorial review for its intended purpose.

LINK EVIDENCE

Do not confuse links found on a page with backlinks pointing to the website

They describe different relationships. Internal and outbound links can be read from the page itself. Backlinks require an external index or provider that has observed links from other websites.

Links on this page

Navigation, context and crawl paths

Inspect internal destinations, outbound destinations, anchor text and verified broken links. This shows how users and crawlers move from the audited page to other resources.

Backlinks to the page or domain

External authority evidence

Show incoming links and referring domains only when a configured provider returns reliable evidence. Domain-level evidence must stay labelled as domain-level evidence.

MEASUREMENT READINESS

A website cannot be optimized commercially if nobody can trace what influenced the enquiry

SEO health is not the same as analytics configuration, but a business still needs to know whether the website can measure traffic, campaigns and conversion activity. The audit therefore reports supported measurement technologies separately from the SEO score.

FROM FINDING TO ACTION

Prioritize work by consequence and effort, not by the number of warnings on screen

A useful audit should reduce the decision list. Findings are easier to manage when the report distinguishes commercial impact, implementation effort and evidence reliability.

Finding typeRecommended treatmentTypical examples
High impact / lower effortFix first

Indexability conflicts, broken critical links, missing primary metadata or simple technical defects with clear business consequences.

High impact / higher effortPlan deliberately

Template changes, architecture work, performance engineering, major content gaps or structural redesign work.

Lower impact / lower effortBundle into maintenance

Small metadata refinements, isolated alternative-text issues and low-risk cleanup that can be completed efficiently.

Unverified evidenceInvestigate before acting

Provider outages, unavailable CrUX, unconfigured backlink data or checks that could not produce reliable evidence.

PROVIDER TRANSPARENCY

Unavailable data should remain unavailable

The tool uses explicit provider states so a business can distinguish a website problem from a data-source limitation.

This matters when a public dataset has no record for a smaller website, when an external provider is temporarily unavailable or when a paid data source has not been configured. None of those conditions proves the website passed or failed the underlying check.

READYThe provider returned usable evidence.
RUNNINGThe check has started but has not reached a terminal state.
PARTIALSome evidence is usable, but the check did not complete fully.
UNAVAILABLEThe provider or public dataset could not supply evidence for this audit.
NOT_CONFIGUREDThe capability exists but the required provider is not connected.
NOT_APPLICABLEThe check does not apply to this page or context.

BUILT FOR DECISIONS

The same audit should be readable by the person approving the work and the person fixing it

Executives need the business consequence. Technical teams need the affected signal and evidence. The report keeps both levels in the same diagnostic record.

Business owner or director

Use the report to decide whether the website problem is primarily visibility, technical quality, performance, content, measurement or a larger customer-journey issue before approving spend.

Marketing or growth team

Use page evidence to connect search visibility with campaign measurement, landing-page quality, content gaps and the destinations customers are expected to reach next.

IT, developer or web team

Trace findings to metadata, links, headings, images, providers and implementation evidence instead of receiving a vague instruction to “improve SEO.”

Agency or digital partner

Use a shared baseline before proposing work, then compare future audits against the same scoring and evidence model.

YOUR REPORT

Receive evidence that can move from management review to implementation

The downloadable Trophy Developers report is structured for sharing. It records what was found, what could not be verified and what should happen next instead of exporting a screenshot of a dashboard.

  • Verified score, grade, audit coverage and completeness
  • Priority findings with severity, expected impact and implementation effort
  • Metadata, canonical, robots and heading evidence
  • Meaningful word count, repeated terms and observed long-tail phrases
  • Internal links, outbound links and backlink-provider evidence where configured
  • Image alternative-text issues with affected image references
  • Analytics and supported marketing-tag detection
  • Mobile and desktop performance plus eligible CrUX field data
  • GEO / AI-readiness findings based on observable website evidence
  • Device previews where screenshot infrastructure is available

NO FABRICATED CERTAINTY

What Web Optimizer deliberately refuses to guess

A trustworthy diagnostic tool must be clear about the boundary between observed evidence and information it does not have.

No invented search volume

Observed page phrases are not presented as keyword demand unless real search-intelligence evidence supports that claim.

No guaranteed rankings

A page can pass technical checks and still face stronger competitors, weaker authority or a mismatch with search intent.

No invented AI citations

GEO-readiness signals do not prove that a generative system currently cites or recommends the business.

No fake zeroes

Unavailable backlink, social, CrUX or screenshot evidence stays unavailable rather than becoming a numeric failure or pass.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU ACT

SEO/GEO audit questions business and technical teams usually need answered

The answers below explain the limits of the audit and how to interpret the evidence before deciding on implementation work.

What is the difference between an SEO audit and a GEO audit?

SEO focuses on how a website can be crawled, indexed, understood and presented in traditional search. GEO focuses on whether generative and AI-assisted systems can interpret the business, entities, expertise and supporting facts with enough clarity to use the information reliably. Trophy Web Optimizer reviews both sets of signals without pretending they are identical.

Does a high audit score mean the website will rank first?

No. The score describes verified website checks, not future rankings. Search results also depend on competition, authority, relevance, demand, links, location, query intent and other factors outside one page audit.

Why show audit coverage separately from the score?

Because missing evidence should not improve a grade. If a provider cannot return CrUX, backlink or screenshot evidence, the audit records that limitation instead of silently treating the missing data as a pass.

Is a page under 900 words automatically weak?

No. Trophy can use 900 words as a configurable content-depth review threshold for suitable business pages. It is not a Google requirement. A contact page, checkout, login screen and detailed service page should not be judged by the same content expectation.

Does repeating a keyword more often improve the score?

No. Repeated terms and phrases are shown to reveal topical emphasis and possible overuse. They are not treated as a keyword-density formula and do not guarantee rankings.

What happens when backlink data is not connected?

The audit reports the backlink provider as NOT_CONFIGURED or UNAVAILABLE. It does not report zero backlinks unless reliable provider evidence actually supports that conclusion.

Can Trophy Developers implement the fixes?

Yes. Findings can lead into SEO, GEO, website performance, redesign, security or other implementation work when the evidence shows that service is relevant. The audit is intended to clarify the problem before defining the work.
